
Kelly began his career in the mid-1970s working as a Service Technician for Armco National Supply and Stanley Well Service. In 1978, at the age of 23, he founded Burmaster, Inc. in Liberty, TX. For the next twenty years he grew a small repair shop into a licensed and certified repair facility for Detroit Allison, Mid-Continent and Cummins servicing the oilfield, construction and trucking industries in the Texas-Louisiana gulf coast, domestic off-shore and internationally in Europe and Central America.
In 2005, Kelly founded Master Rig International, LLC implementing, once-again, a proven business model and an unparalleled commitment to excellence.
Tony began his career with WS Management Consultants, Inc., a company specializing in human resources, safety and environmental consulting for small to mid-sized businesses. Its customers included a vast spectrum of businesses: industrial contractors, processing plants (food products), warehousing, distribution facilities, environmental remediation, large-scale commercial laundry, natural gas distribution, coating, forging, various manufacturing and transportation.
Tony joined with Kelly and Christel Burmaster in forming Master Rig International, LLC. As GM and part owner, Tony established operational and administrative policies and procedures; including: shipping/receiving, ap/ar, human resources (group health, 401K, employment/termination, drug testing, etc.), safety, purchasing, customer MSA agreements, etc. Tony now serves as CAO and GM with direct oversight of all administrative functions at MRI. He has been principal in internal controls, interaction with outside agencies (regulatory, service providers, financial institutions and source professionals), special projects (coating company purchase in 2006-2007 and information systems conversion from several independent platforms to one fully integrated manufacturing software system) as well as day-to-day administrative functions. He is a graduate of the University of Houston.
Chris began his career in Operations Management in 1988 with Modulite Lighting in Montebello, CA. He was directly responsible for all facets of production for eight departments and oversaw 150 employees. During his tenure he developed and implemented critical safety programs and also introduced and refined process controls helping to ensure and improve on-time deliveries.
In June 2006, Chris agreed to join MRI as VP of Operations and part owner. Since that time, Chris has worked steadily toward improving MRI’s operational efficiencies, securing API certification, as well as broadening its market-place influence and presence.
Mark began as Operations Manager for Trinity Valley Welding (TVW) in 2001. Under his direction, the facility secured API Q1 and ISO9000 2001 certifications. In 2002, TVW became part of Tri-Point Energy Services and Mark remained as the facility’s Operations Manager. Under his guidance, the customer base grew and Mark was then given responsibility for corporate field services from Colorado to Mexico. He was named Regional Operations Manager where he served until 2008 when he joined Master Rig International as a Vice President.
Sunjay began his oilfield career as the Vice President of Marketing for Texas OilPatch Service Corporation where he effectively built and managed start-up regions and territories. In his previous role as President, he managed startup and daily operations for Shank Oil Tools. His responsibilities included daily business development, customer service, and technical support. Sunjay then spearheaded the South America initiative for ODS International. He led the plan to create and develop a profitable vehicle for generating new business opportunities throughout South America. Sunjay capitalized on close relationships with regional business partners, international operators and drilling contractors which developed new products and services within that region. Sunjay graduated from Texas A&M University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science, and a Masters in Business Administration.
