DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ALL-ELECTRIC AND FUEL FIRED PRESSURE WASHERS
ALL-ELECTRICS
Sioux Corporation has available two lines of all-electric pressure washers and steam cleaners. The EN Series features an extra heavy-duty industrial steel frame that is built for extremely rugged operating environments. These units may be used for applications in the petroleum, mining, and waste water treatment industries. The EN Series also features explosion proof pressure washers that are available for use in hazardous (classified) locations. Per OSHA 1910.307(a), hazardous locations may be found in aircraft hangars, gasoline dispensing and bulk storage plants, paint-finishing process plants, health care facilities, agricultural plants, marinas, boat yards, and petroleum and chemical processing plants.
The E Series units are for markets that require the same cleaning power as the EN Series but in a compact, portable commercial design. The units have a heavy duty industrial steel frame and utilize similar components as the larger EN Series. These units are ideal for applications where portability and space are a concern such as pharmaceutical, chemical, food processing, and general manufacturing facilities.
FUEL-FIRED
The Dakota II line of fuel-fired pressure washers are available with electric motors and Diesel, Natural Gas or Liquid Propane fired burners. Gas or diesel engine driven units are also available. Fuel-fired pressure washers feature an extra heavy-duty industrial steel frame that is built for extremely rugged operating environments. These units are ideal for mining, petroleum, contract cleaning, and the transportation industry.
Options for hot water pressure washer models include:
- Alternate electricals including 50 Hz and 60 Hz.
- Water tanks.
- Stainless steel frames and heating coils.
- Gas and diesel engines and generators.
- Custom dimensions.

- 2 - 10 GPM (7.6 - 37.9 LPM).
- 750 - 3,000 PSI (52 - 206.85 BAR).
- 135° - 204°F (57° - 96°C) Hot Water.
- Electrically heated or Oil, LP, or Natural Gas fired.
- Standard models certified to UL 1776 and CAN/CSA-B140.11 M89 by ETL.
- Explosion-proof models available.
- Each washer model is available trailer, skid, or caster mounted.
